Last week, Ollie’s Bargain Outlet announced that it would be breaking into the Alabama market by bringing a 33,000 square-foot store to Adamsville, along with a store in Opelika.
The Shopping Center Group’s Jonathan Lindsey and Ray Jones represented the company in the lease, and Lindsey said at the time that Ollie’s had big plans for Alabama.
According to a report from CoStar, Ollie’s plans to open 35 locations in Alabama in the future.
“There is a broad selection of merchandise,” Lindsey said, including dry goods and sporting goods, but he says that the book and floor covering departments separates Ollie’s from other outlets.
The report did not specify which markets would be next on Ollie’s radar.
Ollie’s has over 150 locations nationwide.
