Inked: Former King of Spuds Location Leased

An Asian restaurant leased out the former King of Spuds location at 5376 Knight Arnold Road, and the new tenant plans to start work on the site in the coming months.
King of Spuds closed its Knight Arnold location June 7 after announcing an expansion and plans to move locations.
Tony Cai with EXP Realty represented the new Colony Square tenant and said the hibachi and sushi restaurant took possession of the 2,160-square-foot space last week.
Cai said the tenants signed a 10-year lease and will announce the new restaurant soon, but he can not speak on it yet.
Shawn Massey and Sidney Seale with The Shopping Center Group represented the landlord Gorjian Investments, a New York-based real estate investment firm.

Gorjian Investments purchased the 40,000-square-foot property in 2024 for $700,000, according to deed records.
The Shelby County Assessor of Property appraised the site for $473,800 this year.
