Former King of Spuds Location Leased

An Asian dining concept has taken over the former King of Spuds space at 5376 Knight Arnold Road and is expected to begin renovations in the next few months.
King of Spuds shut down its Knight Arnold Road restaurant on June 7, citing plans to relocate as part of an expansion effort.
Tony Cai of EXP Realty represented the incoming tenant at Colony Square and confirmed that the hibachi and sushi restaurant recently assumed control of the 2,160-square-foot property. According to Cai, the operators have agreed to a 10-year lease and intend to share more details about the restaurant at a later date, though he declined to provide additional information for now.
Shawn Massey and Sidney Seale represented the landlord, Gorjian Investments, a real estate investment company based in New York.

Gorjian Investments purchased the 40,000-square-foot property in 2024 for $700,000, according to deed records.
The Shelby County Assessor of Property appraised the site for $473,800 this year.
