TAMPA — National real estate firm, the Shopping Center Group, sold two shopping plazas in the Tampa Bay region for a combined nearly $20 million earlier this summer.

A subsidiary of the South Florida-based Global Fund Investments purchased the North Bay Commerce Center on Hillsborough Avenue and Race Track Road in Tampa, for $13.5 million in June. The 17.6-acre lot is anchored by a Publix Supermarket and also includes a Youfit Health Club, Pizza Hut, Cracker Barrel and Leslie’s Pool Supplies.

An entity of the Miami-based Jewell Capital acquired Weathersfield Commons at 1757 Main St. in Dunedin, for $5.8 million. The shopping center is anchored by a 34,000-square foot LA Fitness, which is scheduled to open January 2018.
