Biography
As President and Co-CEO of TSCG, Sam Latone leads the Investments Management and Landlord Services divisions. Additionally, he leads structuring efforts for the company’s mergers and acquisition efforts to expand the company’s geographic reach and business lines. Sam joined TSCG in 1999 and created the model to roll up the company’s six separate operating companies at that time, into one entity: The Shopping Center Group, based in Atlanta.
Originally focused on tenant representation services, The Shopping Center Group, as it was known then, leveraged Sam’s background in retail property acquisition, leasing, and management to expand into Landlord Services. At the core of the Landlord Services platform is a structure that resembles an operator of real estate, which has driven superior results to TSCG’s landlord clients.
In 2017, Sam spearheaded the acquisition of an investment management firm to further enhance TSCG’s capabilities. Following the pandemic, he established a partnership with a global private equity firm, Forum Partners, that acquired a minority interest in the firm to assist with capital raising efforts and to invest alongside TSCG in the sponsorship of curated investment programs.
Previously, Sam served as President of Baita Realty Investment Management and Senior Vice President of Branch Properties, both specializing in retail property development and acquisition utilizing European capital partners.
Sam holds a Finance degree from LeMoyne College and an MBA from Georgia State University. He serves on TSCG’s Board of Directors and its Investment Committee. Additionally, he is a former Chairman of the ChainLinks Board of Directors and an active member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO), where he previously chaired YPO’s Global Real Estate Network and currently serves on its Executive Committee.
