Biography
Katie Fernandez-Espinosa is responsible for business development, landlord representation and tenant representation across South Florida's dynamic real estate landscape. Her expertise lies in repositioning and lease-up for suburban, mixed use, and lifestyle properties by curating tenant mixes that keep pace with evolving consumer expectations. She also focuses on representation for South Florida's signature retail, healthcare and restaurant concepts. Prior to joining TSCG, Katie held key roles, serving as Vice President of Retail Advisory with JLL for five years and previously as Vice President at CREC, a boutique real estate firm, where she worked in both the office and retail leasing departments. Her journey in commercial real estate commenced at Hines, a global real estate developer, where she was the property manager and leasing agent of Class A office buildings. A Miami native raised in Pinecrest, Katie pursued her education at Wake Forest University and Florida International University, graduating with a BA in International Relations. She actively engages with industry associations, including ICSC, CREW, and the Commercial Industrial Association of South Florida (CIASF). Katie's outstanding contributions have earned her prestigious accolades, including being recognized as a Costar Power Broker in 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, Connect Media 2019 Top Commercial Real Estate Professionals under 40, and Connect Media 2020 Top Women in Commercial Real Estate. Notably, she is a founding member Miami Moms in Business, a networking group for female entrepreneurs.
