Surge Trampoline Park, which provides various activities for people of all ages, will open an Opelika location in February
An additional place for parents to bring their kids to let off some energy soon will be available in the Auburn-Opelika area in 2017.
Surge Trampoline Park, on schedule to open in February, will be coming to the Pepperell Corners shopping center on Pepperell Parkway in Opelika. It will be located between Planet Fitness and Harvest Thrift Super Center.
The owners of Pepperell Corners have been working on renovations for the center, including a digital sign, according to Ray Jones, agent for The Shopping Center Group.
“The owners are really investing back in the property,” Jones said. “We’re trying to renovate the center as we go.”
The 45,000-square-foot facility will include a variety of specific activities such as a large open court of inter-connected trampolines, jousting battle beam, toddler zone, gymnastics “tumble tracks,” multiple dodgeball courts, three heights of basketball dunking goals, foam pits, rock climbing wall and a flying trapeze.
In addition to the activities, there will be plenty of party areas for birthdays, school field trips, church groups or any size group who is ready to jump high and burn off some energy, according to a press release from the trampoline park.
Jones said the new business will be a great addition for the center.
“It’s an entertainment use,” Jones said. “It will bring in people. It should help all the businesses.”
The trampoline park also exceeds the “NFL’s Play 60 – American Heart Association” requirements for exercise fitness, according to a press release from the trampoline park.
