A new Chick-fil-A restaurant will open in Selden next week.

The chain’s newest eatery occupies a 5,500-square-foot pad site building in the College Plaza shopping center at 949 Middle Country Road.

The Selden Chick-fil-A will be the chain’s 11th on Long Island, following others in Smithtown, Commack, Huntington Station, Port Jefferson Station, Farmingville, Hicksville, Farmingdale, Levittown, Westbury and Garden City.

The Chick-fil-A in Selden is owned and operated by franchisee Stan Abrahamsen, who also owns the Chick-fil-A in Port Jefferson Station. It opens Tuesday, April 1.

“As a longtime Suffolk County resident and the local owner-operator of Chick-fil-A Port Jefferson, I’m honored to continue serving my neighbors and making a positive impact in the community that I call home,” Abrahamsen said in a company statement. “At Chick-fil-A Selden, my focus is on building a welcoming, service-driven culture and helping my team members grow — both personally and professionally.”

The all-in cost to open a Chick-fil-A franchise ranges from $585,500 to $3.3 million. The average annual gross sales for a Chick-fil-A restaurant is $8.1 million, according to Sharpsheets.com.

The Selden Chick-fil-A will employ about 120 full- and part-time employees.

Steve Gillman of TSCG represented Chick-fil-A, while Nick Andreadis served as in-house representative for the landlord, Brixmor Property Group, in the Selden lease transaction.
