An independent pharmacy is coming to the newly constructed Dunnavant Square Shopping Center on Highway 41 in Shelby County’s Mt. Laurel.

Matthew and Lauren Zauchin are opening Village Drug Co. at 300 Carlow Lane, Suite 16 in Birmingham on Oct. 5 at noon.

Bear Burnett of The Canvass Group represented Village Drug, and Kathy Dennis in the Birmingham office of The Shopping Center Group, represented the landlord.

“Opening our own independent pharmacy has been our family’s dream for quite some time and we simply could not have chosen a better place to call our home,” said Lauren Zauchin. “The people in this community are some of the best people I have ever met.”
