Amelia Island Shopping Center Sells for $6.75 Million

The Harris Teeter-anchored shopping center on Amelia Island, the Shops at Amelia Market, has been sold for $6.75 million, or $127 a square foot, according to public records.
An affiliate of Atlanta-based The Simpson Organization acquired the property from Columbia, S.C.-based Edens. The Shopping Center Group’s Florida investment sales team, Anthony Blanco, Lenard Williams and Mallory Ham, represented Edens in the transaction.
The 53,144 square-foot Shops at Amelia Market was built in 2000 and is 91 percent leased.
A St. Augustine shopping center recently sold for $8.9 million or $145 a square foot.
