Several popular restaurant chains set to open at the St. Johns Town Center

Developers confirmed Thursday that Texas de Brazil and Red Robin Gourmet Burgers & Brew will be opening at the St Johns Town Center.
Core Property Capital, based in Atlanta, bought about 63 acres of land, but only about 30 acres are developable as there’s a large lake on the site, he said. The development sits on Town Center Parkway across from the Publix shopping center at the Town Center. Core Property Capital paid $23.5 million.
Other tenants that have signed leases include Starbucks, Newk’s, Matress Firm, Piada Italian Street Food and Aspen Dental. ALDI grocery store is also under contract.
The development will include 33,000 square feet of restaurant space and 25,000 square feet of retail space, as well as a multi-family component.
The Shopping Center Group represents Core Property Capital as the leasing agent and also during the purchase of the land for the development.
The space’s that the retailers will take will be: ALDI with 17,825 square feet, Aspen Dental with 3,500 square feet, Mattress Firm with 3,700 square feet, Starbucks with 2,100 square feet, Newk’s with 4,200 square feet, Red Robin Gourmet Burgers & Brew with 5,700 square feet, Texas de Brazil with 7,000 square feet, Piada Italian Street Food with 2,800 square feet.
The Shopping Center Group said there’s two remaining out parcels, although there are deals already pending for those spaces, according to a statement.
Construction is slated to start mid-year with plans to open spring 2017.
