Atlanta-based retail real estate company TSCG has promoted Susan Ahlheit to chief operating officer, effective Jan. 1, 2027.
Ahlheit, who has spent 31 years with the firm, will be based in the Nashville office and report to Sam Latone, TSCG co-CEO. She succeeds Bob Wordes, who will retire at the end of 2026 after about 20 years with the company (previously known as The Shopping Center Group).
Ahlheit joined TSCG in 1995 and advanced to executive managing director of operations and partner. She has worked alongside Wordes throughout his tenure, with much of the firm’s operating infrastructure already under her purview.
As COO, Ahlheit will lead TSCG day-to-day operations, including human resources, marketing, information technology, office leases, commission agreements, and referrals. She is a past president of CREW Nashville, a board member of ChainLinks and a member of ICSC (International Council of Shopping Centers).
Ahlheit joins TSCG Chief Financial Officer David Huntley and President Nichole Popovics to comprise the company’s senior leadership team.
“I’ve had the chance to grow with TSCG for more than three decades and to learn from Bob for 20 of those years,” Ahlheit said in the release. “The operating foundation we’ve built is strong, and my focus is making sure everyone at TSCG has what they need to serve our clients.”
